What Sam is
Sam is an AI fundraising coach designed to help missionaries build and execute their fundraising plans through personalized coaching conversations.
What information Sam collects
When you use Sam, the following information is collected and stored:
- Your name and login credentials
- Your coaching conversations with Sam
- Information you share about your ministry, donors, and fundraising progress
- Data from your donor tracking system that Sam reads to personalize your coaching
How your information is used
Your information is used solely to provide you with personalized fundraising coaching. Specifically:
- Sam uses your conversation history to provide continuity between sessions
- Sam reads your donor tracking system to give you coaching based on your actual progress
- Your assigned fundraising coach may review your Sam conversations to prepare for live coaching sessions and to improve your coaching outcomes
Your information is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Who can see your information
- You — full access to your own conversations and data
- Your assigned fundraising coach — can review your Sam conversations to support your live coaching sessions
- Your organization's leadership — may review anonymized or aggregated data to monitor overall fundraising health across your team
- No one else — your information is not shared outside of your organization and its designated coaching team
How your information is stored
Your conversations and data are stored securely on Render's infrastructure, a SOC 2-compliant cloud platform. Sam's AI is powered by Anthropic's Claude API.
- Anthropic does not use API conversations to train AI models. Your coaching conversations are never used to train or improve Anthropic's models. This is guaranteed by Anthropic's enterprise API policy.
- Your data is fully isolated. Each user's data is stored and accessed independently. There is no cross-user data access — your conversations, donor information, and action items are never visible to other users.
- Conversation data is stored securely on Render's infrastructure with encrypted connections and access controls.
How long your information is kept
Your conversations, action items, and profile data are stored for the duration of your account. When your account is deleted, all associated data — conversations, action items, future events, donor tracking records, and your user profile — is permanently deleted.

This policy may be updated as Sam develops. You will be notified of any significant changes.
